Light Commercial HVAC-R Certificate Program

Course includes flexible specialized skills to perform both mechanical and electrical installation, preventive and corrective maintenance also heat load calculation, duct design, mechanical code (IMC), fuel code (IFGC), gas pipe sizing, flue vent sizing, brazing, basic blueprint reading, and EPA (new A2L refrigerate protocol) 608 certification imbedded in course. A sub-focus on heat pumps, ice machines and common commercial refrigeration mechanical and electrical control components, maintenance procedures in the areas of light commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration. Within each of these areas are opportunities for specialization. Gain the skills necessary for both employment and entrepreneur opportunity within the commercial, residential, HVAC-R businesses or with equipment manufacturer or wholesaler. Heat load calculations are done according to ACCA Manual J. 8th edition. More than fifty percent of the courses hands.
