American Sign Language (ASL) is a complex visual-spatial language that is linguistically complete and natural. This introduction course focuses on the basics of sign vocabulary, everyday communication, and interaction with individuals who are Deaf using American Sign Language. You will learn the basic components and structure of American Sign Language, the manual alphabet, numbers, sign language terminology. and insight into Deaf Culture.

The Harry S Downs Center for Continuing Education will be the last building on your left. You will pass Spivey Hall and the Music Education Building.

She graduated from Clark Atlanta University with a BA in Accounting and received her Certification in The ASL Immersion Training Program for Interpreters from Floyd College.
